Hailing from New Orleans, La Waxwork Records exploded onto the scene in 2013 offering deluxe LP releases of classic film scores. Within less than one year, Waxwork has worked directly with legendary horror directors such as George A. Romero to release definitive LP versions of Day of the Dead and Creepshow. They have teamed up with award winning composers such as Richard Band to release the cult horror classic Re-Animator. The label has worked closely with major film studios such as Paramount and Universal to release, for the first time ever, Krzysztof Komeda's haunting score to Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby.
Waxwork prides themselves with tracking down lost master tapes in an effort to faithfully remix and restore film scores and present them in the highest quality packing available, with artwork by heavy hitters such as Jay Shaw, Ghoulish Gary Pullin, Francesco Francavilla, and Rich Kelly. With no signs of slowing down, Waxwork has acquired an impressive list of classic and contemporary horror, sci-fi, and cult film scores. Waxwork's label chiefs Kevin Bergeron and Suzy Soto, along with mastering engineer Jay Yuenger are excited to meet you at Mondocon 2017.
