BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM
Sunday, November 5 • 10:00 PM and 10:05 PM Showtimes
Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar

Long before Nolan redefined The Dark Knight, BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES set the bar for the Caped Crusader and his vast Rogues Gallery. Despite original plans as a direct-to-video release, BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM was unleashed in theaters on Christmas 1993.

Featuring gorgeous animation/art design and legendary performances by Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as The Joker, PHANTASM tells a personal, nonlinear story of Bruce Wayne and his former love, Andrea Beaumont. While detailing their tragic past, a deadly new foe terrorizing Gotham City known as the Phantasm is killing crime bosses and pinning the blame on Batman. While trying to clear his name and stop the Phantasm, Batman discovers a disturbing link between the sudden emergence of Andrea and the Phantasm… Widely hailed as one of the best Batman films ever made, we’re very excited to present a special MondoCon screening of the film featuring a new poster by BTAS master, Justin Erickson of Phantom City Creative!
