Music Weekly: Distributed Titles from Data Airlines!

Hello all! No new releases this week, but in the spirit of the annual Record Store Day celebrations taking place this weekend, we wanted to highlight one of our favorite labels right now. Data Airlines is really great and have four new releases out this week! We're thrilled to be carrying their records in the USA.

As usual, new releases go on sale on Wednesdays at NOON (CT) via

Music by Wojciech Golczewski. Released by Data Airlines. Pressed on black vinyl with a high quality 350 gsm matte sleeve. Edition of 500. $24

MOHAWK, the original soundtrack to the film by Ted Geoghegan sharing the same name, is a blend of Synth-driven ambient Electronica and classical orchestral cinematic composition. It's the very same style that contributed to the origins of Golczewski’s distinct sound when he began composing almost two decades ago.

END OF TRANSMISSION 2 by Wojciech Golczewski. Released by Data Airlines. Pressed on black vinyl with a high quality 350 gsm matte sleeve. Edition of 500. $24

Following closely after is the sequel to Golczewski’s popular space epic that started of with REALITY CHECK and continued with END OF TRANSMISSION and THE SIGNAL. Without words, END OF TRANSMISSION 2 continues to recount the fate of a deep space exploration mission but this time from the point-of-view of the A.I. that the mission brought with them. The LP is at times a more hopeful chapter to the story but still carries the same claustrophobic and epic atmosphere familiar to fans of the previous records.

Syncro by Makeup and Vanity Set. Released by Data Airlines. Pressed on black vinyl with a high quality 350 gsm matte sleeve. Edition of 500. $24

“We have no future because our present is too volatile. We have only risk management. The spinning of the given moment's scenarios. Pattern recognition.”

Syncro is the third EP in Makeup and Vanity Set's Neuromancer series completed by Wavehymnal & Chrome. With it, MAVS brings a very Jarresque and cautiously optimistic conclusion to the diegesis.

Ballard by Ogre. Released by Data Airlines. Pressed on transparent orange vinyl with a high quality 350 gsm matte sleeve. Edition of 250. $24

Inspired by the short story 'The Zone Of Terror' by J. G. Ballard. This record is filled with intense dystopian Sci-Fi Synth attacks.

Composed by John Paesano (MARVEL'S DAREDEVIL - Season One), the score to THE DEFENDERS takes his work to another level. Incredibly dynamic, serious yet still fun, and ominous but still optimistic. Paesano takes the musical world of the four separate comic book superheroes, all dealing with their own sonic demons, and produces a seamlessly shared musical universe for them to co-exist.
Pressed on 2X 180 Gram vinyl (Disc 1: red/yellow split, Disc 2: purple/green split). Also available on 180 Gram black vinyl. $35

John Williams' classic score with audio never before heard on vinyl. Composed & conducted by John Williams. Artwork by Phantom City Creative. Music restored, mixed, edited & mastered by Mike Matessino. Additional engineering for vinyl by James Plotkin. Liner notes by Mike Matessino. Pressed on 2X 180 Gram colored vinyl. $35

Death Waltz Recording Company is proud to present the soundtrack to the 1972 giallo MY DEAR KILLER (MID CARO ASSASSINO) with music by Maestro Ennio Morricone and package design by Eric Adrian Lee. The record is intense, unsettlingly creepy and mesmerizing. It features the haunting vocals of Italian musical royalty Edda Dell'Orso on several tracks and its jazz-lounge stylings are absolutely superb. $30
